DAY 01 - Arrive at Chennai

Land at the Chennai air terminal, there you will be greeted by an ITM delegate who will assist you to check-in at the hotel and later clarify the journey planned in detail and handover all the visit related reports to you. The rest of the day will be free for relaxation exercises. Overnight stay will be in Chennai.

DAY 02 - CHENNAI – COVELONG

After solid breakfast, continue exploring Chennai with Kapaleeshwar Temple and Parthasarthy Temple. Later visit Fort St. George church, Kala Kshetra and National Art Gallery and Museum. Later proceed with a drive to the coast to Covelong. In Covelong we remain in a Beach Hotel at the Bay of Bengal.

DAY 03 - COVELONG – MAHABALIPURAM – PONDICHERRY

After the breakfast, you will be driven to Pondicherry, en route visit Mahabalipuram and visit the shore temple, Arjuna's repentance and Five Ratha's. Later proceed with the drive to Pondicherry. Pondicherry conveys a solid whiff of the French presence in India. This previous French settlement on the east shore of South India converged with the remainder of the nation in 1954. Legend says that Pondicherry is where St. Agasthaya settled down. On arrival, visit Aurobindo Ashram, visit Auroville – a remarkable paradise for all. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

DAY 04 - PONDICHERRY – CHIDAMBARAM – KUMBAKONAM – TANJORE

After breakfast, drive to Tanjore. En route visit Chidambaram and Kumbakonam city, Chidambaram is well known for the Nataraja temple with the foundation of the sanctum-sanctorum secured with brilliant plates. In this temple, sculptures of the Bharatnatyam dance are portrayed in form. Later visit Kumbakonam city which is probably the most oldest town in Tamil Nadu and is well known for its Mahamaham celebration. In the seventh century, it was the Capital of Chola Kings. Kumbakonam is the acclaimed “temple town” of South India. Later proceed with drive to Tanjore. On appearance, you will be checked-in at the lodging. Overnight stay will be in Tanjore.

DAY 05 - TANJORE – SRIRANGAM – TRICHY

After breakfast, drive to Srirangam and visit the Ranganathasvami Temple which is probably the biggest temple in India committed to god Vishnu. After the visit to Srirangam, we continue to Trichy. Trichy is the land close to the delta and is prolific and beneficial. Trichy is old enough, as evidenced by the reference of Ptolemy in the second century BC, the Alexandrian geographer. We climb to the renowned Rock Fort which was based on 84 m high rock in the focal point of the town in around 1660. We additionally visit a Shiva and Ganesha temple and appreciate a superb perspective on the surroundings from the top. Later check-in at lodging. Overnight stay will be at Trichy.

DAY 06 - TRICHY – MADURAI

After breakfast drive to Madurai, which is somewhere in the range of 2600 years of age and is spread out in the banks of waterway Vaigai as a lotus blossom with the Meenakshi templein the middle. After lunch, investigate the popular Meenakshi Temple, a radiant case of the Dravidian School of Architecture and is known for its plentifully cut and colossal portals and visit Tirumalai Nayak Palace. Overnight stay will be in Madurai.

DAY 07 - MADURAI – EXCURSION TO RAMESHWARAM

After breakfast, visit Rameshwaram. On arrival visit one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Legend says that the Ramanathaswamy Temple stands where Lord Rama worshipped a Sand Lingam made by Sita. Lunch will be at Rameshwaram. Come back to Madurai at night and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 08 - MADURAI – THEKKADY

After the breakfast, drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is the area of the Periyar National Park. The Periyar woodlands of Thekkady is one of the best wildlife reserves in India. It spreads over the whole locale, and provides pleasant views and the hill towns that settle delightful trails for treks and mountain strolls. On arrival, check in at the hotel.Overnight stay will be in Thekkady.

DAY 09 - THEKKADY – KUMARAKOM

After breakfast, you’ll be taken to a morning boat ride on the pool of Periyar. The pool of Periyar is the main attraction of the renowned Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary covers a region of 780 square km and was assigned a part of the project Tiger in 1973. After the boat ride, we pass through the Park and watch the elephants, buffalo, sambar, wild bulls, wild hog and spotted deer which are basic here. Toward the evening we pass through the mountains which are brimming with Cardamom and go through the tea and espresso ranches and continue to Kumarakom. In Kumarakom, we appreciate the Boat ride trip through the tropical vegetation on the backwaters.

DAY 10 - KUMARAKOM

After breakfast, the entire day is for recreation. One can appreciate the Ayurveda rub in the lodging or have a decent stroll in the pleasant tropical environment. The Swimming Pool of the lodging will be available for swimming and unwinding.

DAY 11 - KUMARAKOM – KOTTAYAM – ALLEPPEY – COCHIN

After breakfast, enjoy a pontoon trip for two hours through the thin channels of well-known backwaters of Kottayam and land in Alleppey. From that point we drive to further via vehicle to Cochin. Cochin is the most fascinating town with regards to South India at Malabar Coast and is otherwise called Venice of the south. In Cochin, we visit St. Francis church, the most established European church in India in which the grave of acclaimed traveller Vasco da Gama can be visited. After the visit of St. Francis Church we have a stroll through the Jewish region of Mattancherry. Overnight stay will be in Cochin.

DAY 12 - COCHIN

Post breakfast we visit Fort Cochin, Willington Island, Ernakulam, Bolghatty Island and Vypeen Island. A large portion of the memorable structures are in Fort Cochin. Later visit the local market. In the evening, enjoy the Kathakali danceshow. Overnight stay will be in Cochin.

DAY 13 - COCHIN – OOTY

After breakfast, look at the tropical shore of Kerala as we check-out and drive through the serpent road and go through the Tea ranch and eucalyptus forests of Nilgiri and arrive in the city of Ooty. Ooty was created as hill station by British. It lies at an elevation of 2300m. On arrival you’ll be checked-in at the inn. Overnight stay will be in Ooty.

DAY 14 - OOTY – MYSORE

After breakfast, explore Ooty. It is renowned for its rolling hills canvassed in pine and eucalyptus backwoods and furthermore for its espresso and tea ranches. We visit the well known and most lovely flowerbed of Ooty which covers a region of more than 20 hectares and is planted with over a thousand assortments of plants, bushes, and trees including orchids, plant and snow-capped. In the evening we go through the betel nut and pepper estate and continue to Mysore. In Mysore, we drive to Chamundi Hill to see a giant Nandi (buffalo god) and appreciate the scenery from the peak. On arrival, check in at the inn. Overnight stay will be in Mysore.

DAY 15 - OOTY – HALEBID – BELUR

After breakfast, visit the City Palace of Mysore, "Ambar Vilas" worked in the Indo-Saracenic style. Mysore is a place well known for Silk and Sandalwood. Mysore is likewise a focal point of delivering saris. After the touring of Mysore, we continue through beautiful bumpy scenes and land in Halebid which is the old capital of the Hoysala kingdom. In Halebid, we visit the Hoysalesvara Temple of the twelfth century where we see life-size statues of Hindu gods, with subtleties in every part of the temple. After the visit to Halebid, we continue to Belur. In Belur, we visit the gathering of Chennakesava Temples which are acclaimed for its design and models. Overnight stay will be in Belur.

DAY 16 - BELUR – SRAVANABELGOLA – BANGALORE

After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Bangalore. En route visit the town of Sravanabelgola, where we see the epic monolithic statue, standing at 18 meters high. This Jain model speaks to the virtuous sovereign king Bahubali after he had gained the gift of the enlightenment. After the visit of Sravanabelgola, we continue for Bangalore. In Bangalore, we visit the monolithic Nandi, Shiva's Bull and celebrated Gowda Fort which was worked by Tipu Sultan. Overnight stay will be in Bangalore.

DAY 17 - BANGALORE – CHENNAI

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel in Bangalore, you’ll be driven to Chennai. On arrival, check-in at thehotel. Rest of the day is for you to unwind at the hotel. Overnight stay will be in Chennai.

DAY 18 - CHENNAI/DEPARTURE

After breakfast, you’ll be dropped to the airport to get onto the plane for your journey onwards, with the upbeat recollections of your trip.
